Today, on the 18th of March, 2015, the World Championship in Historical Medieval Battle “Battle of the Nations – 2015” was officially presented on the Czech land: to public – in general; and to representatives of main Czech media – in particular.

The exact location of the Championship was officially announced at the press-conference with journalists in the New Town Hall on Charles Square. Meeting point – Petrin Hill (http://botn.info/publication/en-battle-of-the-nations-2015-location-and-other-benefits).

Teams from more than 30 countries from the whole world will compete for Champion Titles exactly on that spot.

Answering questions, President of HMBIA Anton Trubnikov told wordsmiths what is Historical Medieval Battle, what rules and categories do we have in our sport and also about the World Championship in HMB “Battle of the Nations” itself, – from the appearing of the idea – to becoming the main festival in the world of historical reenactment.

Captain of Czech National Team Joseph Pohl and fighter Tomas Gajdosik told about the development of Historical Medieval Battle in Czech Republic, about the last season for Czech team and about the preparation of the team to the World Championship, and of course – about the plans for future.

After briefing there was a presenting pro-fight in the courtyard of New Town Hall. Not staged, but very real. Competing fighters were: Vitaly Tkachenko (club “Knyaz”, Kharkov, Ukraine) and Jan Burgerstein (club “SKSKBP”, Prague, Czech Republic). After two rounds one and a half minute each, as usually, friendship became a winner.

We know the date and place, all we have to do is count days until the opening of the Championship!
