Aigues Mortes welcomed one more Battle of the Nations debutant. In 2013, Fred Lepault became part of the France national team. He was a fighter in the France 1 team.

Despite the fact that the team fought in their native land, the meeting with Poland turned out to be fatal. They finished the group stage with the first place but France 1 lost vs Poland in the playoff stage and that brought their experience in the competition to a close.

Fred Lepault recalls that they were satisfied with the final results:
“Our result was pretty good for us, we were really happy to be the 10th team in the ranking. it was our expectation for our first participation”.

Also Fred still remember his first mass battle as he was really impressed:

“The All vs All was memorable, in front of the ramparts of Aigues Mortes, with big clouds of dust, two large teams that are dangerously fast approaching each other… it was a real war!”

According to Fred Lepault the same feeling he had during the 150 vs 150 battle on the Battle of the Nations 2019 in Serbia!
