Pawel Kurzak: summing up “Battle of the Nations”-2018

19 Jun 2018 18:44
The National Team of the UK got the greatest success to date – one gold, one silver and two bronze medals including a medal in the “21 vs 21″ buhurt category. Year by year the UK team is getting stronger. Pawel Kurzak even told that such a steady improvement is excellent, but it will be a huge challenge to keep it that way.

Pawel Kurzak fought in “5 vs 5″ and “21 vs 21″ buhurt and “Polearm” duel categories. Now he has an opportunity to think over the results of the World Championship in HMB “Battle of the Nations”-2018 and sum up their fights:
“I’m content, but not happy with our “5 vs 5″ performance. We’re stuck in places 7-12. We’re hungry for more. As White Company, we’ve made two massive transfers to our team, which hopefully will allow us to compete against top teams. We will have a first big test in August against Bear Paw”.

Pawel also decided to make some changes to team trainings, but the system UK team used before “Battle of the Nations” will not give away. He made some changes into his own training routine in a gym as well.

Pawel Kurzak:
“I’ve added Olympic weightlifting in order to develop power. I will want to focus on profights in order to challenge heavy weight or super heavyweight category”.

According to Mr. Kurzak, the next couple of weeks and months are going to be busy both for him and the “White Company” HMB club, as they are going to visit tournaments in France, Poland, the Netherlands, Denmark and Russia to compete in profights.

So, as we can see the “Fight and travel” motto is in its full swing. No doubt, we will see more interesting fights of the UK team after these hard trainings.
