“Polearm” category appeared in the tournament net of Championship of the world in HMB “Battle of the Nations” in 2015 and the battles in this category became an essential part of the tournament ever since. Even though the technique of use of halberds differs from the iron weapon techniques, women as well as men manage pretty good.
This year, numerous countries took part in the category, but only the most decent ones received medals. Thus, fighters of national team of Russia took all the first places, while the rest was taken by Canada, Ukraine, Belarus and Spain.
We would like to emphasize that the second place and a silver medal in the men’s category “Polearm duel” was taken by the fighter of the National team of Spain, who was taking part in the tournament of such high level for the first time.
